The machine’s operation depends entirely on the central lift and transfer system Trays are automatically handled by a central lift unit that optimises storage space based on either tray height detection or the height parameters defined in the production recipe.
Central lift unit has three axes of movement:
• Scheduling of small, medium and large batches thanks to high autonomy, advanced management software features and automatic gripper/tool change
• Full multi-stage machining of a product code across multiple CNC machines up to finished part production without operator intervention
• Mixed product production (different part numbers) on multiple CNC machines
• Preparation of carts for other robotic cells while FLEXI processes different batches
