Robotic assistance: the strategic service to keep production running

Industrial robotic assistance with Fanuc robots

In the world of industrial automation, every machine downtime represents a real risk: for productivity, competitiveness and, ultimately, for company margins. In this context, industrial robotic assistance is not an ancillary service, but a strategic lever that makes the difference between a high-performance plant and one that slows down growth.

Since 2019, ROBO FEED has been bringing Assistec’s expertise to the field, specialising in electronic and mechanical assistance for CNC machine tools. Today, this expertise has been successfully extended to the assistance of robotic islands, particularly those with Fanuc robots, through timely, qualified and structured support.

The three dimensions of robotic assistance: corrective, preventive, predictive

To truly serve manufacturing companies, robotic assistance must operate on three levels:

  • Corrective: prompt intervention in the event of a breakdown or machine downtime, with technicians ready to resolve the issue on site or remotely.
  • Preventive: scheduled maintenance on robots, cobots, rotary tables, and grippers to avoid downtime and extend the life of the robotic cell.
  • Predictive: constant analysis of machine data, detection of anomalies and proactive interventions. Thanks to remote monitoring and the use of advanced sensors, it is possible to intervene before a blockage occurs.

Why choose ROBO FEED for robotic assistance?

Relying on ROBO FEED means placing your robotic automation in the hands of a team with vertical know-how, constantly updated and capable of intervening on every aspect of the robotic island. Here’s what makes our service different:

Tailored assistance, no surprises

We offer customised service packages tailored to production requirements and the age of the equipment. No unnecessary costs, only targeted interventions.

Technicians trained directly by Assistec

Continuous training and direct links with the parent company guarantee rapid and effective interventions in both mechanical and electronic areas, on Fanuc robots and cobots.

Quick response times

From receiving the call to on-site intervention, everything is planned with the aim of minimising machine downtime. Components are repaired in our workshop within 3-5 working days.

Remote assistance also available

Thanks to integration with IXON routers and the use of mobile apps accessible from browsers or smartphones, we are able to intervene remotely for many issues, further reducing diagnosis and intervention times.

Planned maintenance = guaranteed efficiency

Prevention is key to avoiding production downtime. We offer periodic maintenance plans for the most sensitive components of the robotic cell.

Spare parts, repairs and electronics workshop

One of the distinctive advantages of ROBO FEED is the presence of an in-house workshop for repairing electronic components. This allows us to:

  • Regenerate boards, inverters, sensors, HMIs and other critical parts
  • Offer fast recovery times (3-5 working days)
  • Significantly reduce costs compared to replacing the component with a new one

Where possible, we recommend repair rather than replacement, offering a solution that is more sustainable both economically and environmentally.

ROBO FEED robotic assistance: how does it work?

The ROBO FEED assistance flow is clear, proven and efficiency-oriented:

  1. Reporting the problem: receiving the call and gathering technical details
  2. Remote diagnosis: connection to the system via router and data analysis
  3. On-site intervention planning, if necessary
  4. Fault resolution and restoration of operations

A simple but essential process for ensuring operational continuity, security and productivity.

ROBO FEED robotic assistance: where we operate

Our robotic assistance service currently covers the whole of northern and central Italy, with a particular focus on Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Marche, Veneto, Lombardy and Piedmont. Thanks to our logistical proximity and the presence of technicians throughout the region, we can guarantee rapid response times and maximum efficiency.

When robotic assistance makes the difference: the CMO case study

In the hydraulic equipment sector, reliability is everything. CMO, a leading company in the metalworking industry, found itself facing a critical situation: a robotic cell installed by a third-party integrator was not working as expected. Despite the high investment, the system was unable to operate autonomously, forcing staff to intervene continuously and slowing down the entire production flow.

Our intervention prevented the total replacement of the island. Thanks to an in-depth on-site analysis, ROBO FEED technicians identified the main critical issues:

  • Robotic gripper unsuitable for the working environment: the wiring did not comply with IP requirements, resulting in malfunctions in the robot cycle.
  • Unsuitable warehouse: interference and collisions during part picking caused frequent stoppages and inaccurate processing.

The solution? A new gripper design developed in-house and a mechanical upgrade of the magazine with flat springs to ensure correct component positioning. The result: the island restored, production optimised and no need to start from scratch.

‘RoboFeed restored our robotic island with great expertise, quickly resolving malfunctions without having to redesign it. Their intervention optimised production and improved process efficiency. A precise and professional team, highly recommended.’
M.M., Production Manager, CMO

Robotic assistance: an investment, not a cost

Viewing assistance as a simple operating cost is a common mistake. In reality, it is a genuine strategic investment. With a partner like ROBO FEED, every hour gained in production and every breakdown avoided becomes operating margin.

Do not rely on chance or improvised interventions. Choose professional, structured, responsive robotic assistance.

Don’t wait for the next machine breakdown

Every second of downtime costs money. Put your trust in a partner who knows your systems inside out and can help you get the most out of them. Whether you already have a ROBO FEED island or a system integrated with Fanuc robots, our team is ready to support you.

FAQs about robotic assistance

How much does robotic surgery cost?

The cost depends on the type of fault, whether components need to be replaced, and the distance involved. We offer flexible, customised packages.

Can I schedule maintenance during production downtime?

Absolutely. We work in synergy with the production department to intervene at times when it has the least impact on the company.

Does the support only cover Fanuc robots?

We specialise in robotic cells with Fanuc robots and cobots, but we also evaluate mixed systems on a case-by-case basis.

What happens if the robot stops during a night shift?

Our technicians will take charge of the report the following morning, acting quickly to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
